SSC to host Elks Lodge Soccer Shoot Sept 26, 4-7 PM

SSC will be hosting a local competition of the Elks Lodge Soccer Shoot at Southampton Park on September 26, 4:00-7:00 PM. This time was chosen so there would be no conflict with games. This event is FREE!

Winners from the local competition advance to Districts, States, and the final Mid-Atlantic Competition. The Elks will pay for food and hotel should a player advance to the state competition in State College.

0 thru 7 yrs old will compete in a 5 goal contest. Each child will get one practice and 3 shots at each of the 5 goals. Each goal is a different size from 48" down to 17" and has a different point score. The shooter stands 15' away and tries to make as many goals as possible.

8 yrs. old thru 13 yrs. old compete in a GRID contest. They will shoot at a regulation goal 24' X 8'

8-9 yrs. old shoot from 24' away from goal

10-11 yrs. old shoot from 30' away from goal

12-13 yrs. old shoot from 36' away from goal

Each shooter gets 3 practice shots and then shoots 15 for score. Each different area of the grid on the goal has a different score.

If it is raining, the event is cancelled.
